My approach in fostering a therapeutic connection begins with my commitment to establishing an environment of safety, security, and stability. I achieve this by embracing compassionate listening, employing a Socratic style of dialogue that involves open-ended questions and keen observations. This approach serves to guide individuals in bringing awareness to their concerns, and asks them to draw on the wisdom of their own experiences.

Together we actively engage in problem-solving, I encourage individuals to reflect on their strengths and attributes, empowering them to take charge of their own journey. Additionally, I offer psychoeducation tailored to each individual's unique experiences, providing valuable insights and understanding. To enhance daily living, I suggest practical tools and practices, drawing on the principles of root-cause psychology in helping establish regulation.

In the pursuit of trauma resolution, I integrate evidence-based modalities to facilitate a deeper processing of challenging issues. My goal is to create a supportive and empowering space where individuals can navigate their path towards healing and growth. Together, we embark on a journey that not only addresses immediate concerns but also cultivates lasting skills for a more fulfilling life.

A Bit About Me

When I am not at work, I spend a lot of time at home with my dog, we go for walks and frequent parks and paths. I have really enjoyed reconnecting more with nature over the last little while, there's nothing quite like the warm sun on your face with your feet on soft sand or grass. I have always loved music, films, fashion, dancing, and the arts in general. I am also really big into literature, mostly non-fiction. Many of my friends consider me a nerd because I love sci-fi (any subgenre). Lately, I feel most accomplished with my ability to consistently get quality sleep despite the many other priorities that try to steal if from me. My intentions for 2024 are to continue to cultivate an abundance mindset, to build more self-discipline into my daily living, and to really lean into being the most authentic version of myself - whatever it costs me.
